A stilt house which elevates you to the treetops, Khan Cottage enjoys a spectacular outlook. We have 135 acres of rolling rainforest, pasture and creeks, plus a wraparound deck with views which go on forever. Swing in the hammock with only the call of the Whip birds to disturb you or settle down beside our roaring pot-belly stove. From the deck, hear the water flowing through our rainforest creeks. These creeks are part of one of the most successful rainforest regeneration projects in the region.

Despite our faraway feel, historic Berry with its antique shops and eateries is a five-minute drive away. You are also close to Seven Mile Beach, boutique wineries, seasonal dolphin and whale watching and the stunning beaches of Jervis Bay. The cottage is just over a two-hour drive from Sydney, south along the Princes Highway.

As committed conservationists we have entered into a Registered Property Agreement keeping our land safe from development forever. We are regenerating our precious rainforest creeks and working hard to restore the flora on all our property - a pioneering endeavour for private landowners. Ten years ago, our creeks - like most in the Illawarra - were a mass of privet, lantana and other weeds. Today, they are regenerating Illawarra Subtropical Rainforest, an endangered vegetation community. This on-going project, considered the most successful rainforest regeneration project in the region, is the result of much hard work and is where the proceeds from your stay are spent.
